She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Ruhs and Muriel Ruhs (Swanson); and her daughter Christina. She is survived by: her husband Ron; her children, Jessica Herrick (Brandon), Brandi Cook, Jeff Abel and Angela Abel-Strauss; and her siblings, Mark Ruhs and Martha Anderson (Kent). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Covenant Church, Moline, in memory of Marlyss M. Abel.
