He is survived by: his parents, Greg Ackerland and Barbara Ackerland (Niner); his daughter Tessa Ackerland of Colorado Springs, CO; his brothers, Jay Ackerland (Tracey), Austin Ackerland (Katie) of East Moline and Troy Ackerland of East Moline; his grandmothers, Pearl Johnston and Sally Niner; his aunts and uncles, Brenda Atwood, Dennis Wendt, Charles Wendt, Daniel Niner, Troy Niner, Larry Niner, Pam Niner, Kim Brown, Suzanne Niner, Scott Ackerland, Brett Ackerland and Matt Johnston; his nieces and nephews, Josh, Emmalee, Kevin, Dylan and Morgan Ackerland; and his former wife Anne Weatherington. He is also survived by his many cousins and friends.
