He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grigsby and Daphne Grigsby (Anderson); his daughter Ellen Andrea; his brothers, John Evans Grigsby and Michael Vincent Grigsby; and his siblings-in-law, John Watts, David Watts, Janice Watts, Bonnie Watts and Patricia Watts.
He is survived by: his son Mark Alexander; his granddaughter Amanda Smith (Mat); his children, Hannah Grigsby of Kissimmee, FL, Justin Grigsby, Brooke Shannon, Micah Shannon of Park Ridge, IL, Henry Grigsby and Victoria Grigsby of Los Angeles, CA.; his siblings-in-law, Juliet Grigsby of Portland, OR, Eudell Watts III, James Watts (Julia Pieper) and Bettendorf; Garon (Diane) of Los Angeles, CA, Vincent (Coleen), Mark, Linda Grigsby Walczyk (Joseph) of Iowa City, IA and Jensie Shannon (Michael) of Park Ridge, IL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in memory of Max would be appreciated by Rock Island Public Library Foundation for the "Lorene Evans Watts Memorial Trust Fund" (Max's mother-in-law), which purchases children's materials for the Rock Island libraries, including Watts-Midtown Branch.
