He was predeceased by: his father Merle E. "Russ" Casel,; and his son Jason Casel. He is survived by: his mother Linda Casel, Sr. (Hawotte); his wife Florence I. Johnson; his children, Brandy Yilmaz (Mark) and Justin Casel (Junko) of Harker Heights, TX; his grandchildren, Yuta, Julian, Michelle and Van; his niece Madilyn; his nephew Mitchell; and his brother Mike Casel.
