It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael W Malmstrom of Moline, Illinois, who passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Willa Mae (Stark) and Lawrence Daniel Malmstrom; and his brothers, Patrick, Vincent and Andrew Malmstrom.

He is survived by : his wife Sheila; his children, Sabrina Huntoon (Mark) of Milwaukee, WI, Sara Limon of Silvis, IL, Becky Nelson (James) of Albia, IA and Paul Malmstrom (Shelby) of Carthage, TN; and his grandchildren, Jenica, Linnea, Alicia, Patrick, Karl, Caleb, Ariannah, Isaiah and Brenda Garrett.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to Bridging the Gap, AMVETS of East Moline, and/or Lincoln Detachment Marine Corps League.
