He was predeceased by: his parents, Agustin Garcia and Francisca Garcia (Villegas); and his son-in-law Steve Tappa. He is survived by: his wife Elvira Peña; his children, Martha Garcia-Tappa, Bettendorf, Gloria Garcia (Daniel) of Schererville, IN, Dalia Tapia (Bob), Belinda Ryckeghem (Jason) and Shawn Garcia (Anna); his grandchildren, Gloria Zamora, Robert Zamora, Jr., Michael Tappa of Anthony, Danny Garcia, Jr., Miguel Tapia, Alex Garcia, Ariana Barry and Audrey Garcia; and his great grandchildren, Mila and Grayson.
Memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Church.
