She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Moeller and Daisy Moeller (Moon); her husband George Gates; her brothers, Jerry Moeller and Larry Moeller; and her half-siblings, Russ Newham and Bunny Vroman.
She is survived by: her children, David Gates (Roni) of Port Byron, Janet Kotaska (Tim) of Moline and Darren Gates (Brandi) of Milan. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
