He was predeceased by: his parents, James Welsh, and Carrie Welsh, Sr. (Holcomb); his daughter Mary Welsh; his granddaughter Caitlyn Welsh; and his siblings, Marilyn Kask and James Welsh, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Terri Fardi-Turkmani (Tony), Karen Tormeno (Mark) of Kennesaw, GA and Paul Welsh, Jr. (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Jenny Willette, Reza Turkmani, Alex Turkmani, Zach Turkmani, Nick Tormeno, Megan Dalton, Kevin Tormeno, Justin Welsh and Taylor Welsh. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arc of the Quad Cities.
