He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur R. Farrar and Hazel M. Farrar (Shellberg). He is survived by: his children, Victoria "Vicki" Graves (Shaun) of Moline, Valerie Farrar of Moline and Arthur Richard "Rick" Farrar (Dena) of Martinez, Georgia; his granddaughters, Charlotte and Clara Graves; his children, Cordelia and Gwenyth Farrar; and his cousin Carol Shellberg.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Two Rivers YMCA or the Moline Public Library.
