He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Peterson and Margaret Peterson (Petty); his wife Mary Cervantes; his children, Richard Peterson (Kathryn) of Naperville, IL, Paul Peterson (Linda) of Columbus, IN, Ramona Connelly (Thomas) of Palatine, IL and Marylou Witherspoon; and his son-in-law Mark Witherspoon. He was also cherished by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
