He was predeceased by: his parents, Cloyse B. Powell and Berdella A. Doyle Powell; his wife Darleen R. Beckstrom; his daughter Debbie Loftin; and his brother Joe.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Powell, Dori McCartney (John) and Dawn Robinson (Tim); his son-in-law Mark Loftin; and his sister-in-law Mary Lea Powell. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
