She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Sovey (Hogan) and Glen Sovey; and her brothers, Richard Sovey and Roger Sovey. She is survived by: her husband Jon E. Melin; her sons, Kristopher Melin (Ashley) of Tucson, AZ, Dr. Kory Melin (Michelle) of Coal Valley, IL, Kullen Melin (Melinda) of Moline, IL and Dr. Kurtis Melin of Spartanburg, SC; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Daniel, James, Samantha, Mikayla, Jackson and Lauren; her brothers, Ronald Sovey and Randall Sovey (Karen); and her sister-in-law Sylvia Sovey.
