He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Haney and Marion Haney (Doig); his wife Helen Hahn; and his sister Phillis. He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Holton (Chuck) of Atlantic Beach, FL and Joyce McFail (Rick) of Altona, IL; his grandchildren, Stacy Stratton (Allan) of Jacksonville, FL, Sarah Bonaventure of Jacksonville, FL and Dustin Holton of Atlantic Beach, FL; his sister Jo Clayton (Delbert) of Moline; and his brother-in-law Emery Davis of Muscatine, IA.. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Robert was born in Washington, IA, on March 23, 1929, to Lynn and Marion (Doig) Haney.
