He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonnie Thornton and Vivian Thornton (Hackett); and his siblings, Richard Juzek and Laurie Senger. He is survived by: his siblings, Geraldine Thrasher of Las Vegas, NV, James Thornton, Sr. and Joyce (Joe). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home (3030 7th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201). Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (2810 5th Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
