He was predeceased by : his parents, Monte Lee and Rose Dual (Hill); and his sister Dixie Dual. He is survived by : his daughters, Lacey James (Scott Bowser) and LeeAnn Hamilton (Chris); his grandchildren, Marissa James, Gavin Hamilton and Madeline Hamilton; his stepmother Donna Dual; his nephews, Albert Dual, Anmon Dual and Monte Dual of Rock Island; and his friend Mary Williams. He is also survived by two sisters; many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Rock's memory.
