He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Poppy and Ferne Poppy (Shattuck); his wife Carole Poppy; his granddaughter Sasha Perez; and his siblings, Clifford Poppy and Bonnie Kruse.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anna Loncarich (David) of Bettendorf, Andrea, Lori Herr (Chris) of Colona, Barbra Harker (Brad) of Hampton and Susan Shaffer (Rick) of Port Byron; his grandchildren, Sarah Perez, Zachary Lorenson, Justin Lorenson, Phoenix Herr, Jeffrey Herr, Kristen Harker, Ryan Harker and Andrew Poppy; and his sister Betty Kruse of Moline.
