He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Smith and Andrew Nash; his great-uncle Samuel; his aunt Elnora Griggs; his brothers, Leonard Cain (Margery), David Knight (Doretha), George W. Caine and Edison Bruster (Myrtis); his grandson James Samuel Henderson; and his pet TJ Nash.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Monson; his children, Samuel Nash Jr. (Julie) of Davenport, IA, Sidney Nash (Donna) of Killeen, TX, Mildred Brooks (Curtis) of Moline, IL, Robert Nash (Tonya) and Diana McCreary (Brian) of Pensacola, FL.; his adoptive son Michael Morgan; his grandchildren, La'Shelle Priester (Theron), Adrienne Farris (Chris), Nashira Williams (Eddie), Robert Jr., Dominique Brooks, Tayler Arnold, Brianna Evans (Antonio), Brian McCreary Jr., Paige Murphy (Brian), Justin McCreary and Bianca Wallace (Kevin); his godchildren, Shemeicka Miller and Valissa Jeanette Richnavsky; his sister-in-law Olivia Taylor; and his brothers, Dennis Monson (Veronica) and Michael Monson (Donna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
