Shirley R. Van Ryn Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley R. Van Ryn of Moline, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 21, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Matteson and Alma Matteson (Franzman); her husband Anthony Joseph Van Ryn; her siblings, Mary Whittington (Leo), Charles Matteson (Elisabeth), Dorothy Jodts (Albert), Marjorie Reschke (William), Ruth Windy and Pauline Larson; and her sisters-in-law, Rita Tucker (Wesley) and Marjorie Wirth (William).
She is survived by: her brothers-in-law, Virgil Larson of California and David Windy of Geneseo. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews and great nieces & great nephews.
Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Heartland Hospice.
