Counihan of Moline, Illinois, born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilfred Boucher and Marie Anne Lussier. She is survived by : her husband Jeremiah M. Counihan; her children, Marie Counihan, Peter Counihan (Cathy) of Huntington Beach, CA, Patrick Counihan (Shannon) of Tehachapi, CA and Kathleen VanDerGinst (Doug); her sister Jeanne Tarrant of Norwalk, CT; and her sister-in-law Ruth Rabalais of Rogers, AR. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

A rosary was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Rafferty Funeral Home (2111 1st Street A a, Moline, IL 61265, USA). Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church - Moline (1307 17th Ave, Moline, IL 61265).

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Seton Catholic School or Sacred Heart Parish.
