He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Kay Eckert (Steve) and Marguerite Nelson (Richard); his niece Georgena Barnes (Ben); his great-nephews, George and Henry; his great-niece Estelle Barnes of Johnston, IA; his nephew Jayme Eckert (Sara); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brecken Miller and Archer Eckert of Moline; and his uncles, Jim Spurgetis and Nick Spurgetis (Frances).
