He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Zuiden and Diane Van Zuiden (Van Wassenhove); his wife Terrie Carlson; his stepchildren, Justin Damewood (Jessica) and Shawnae Damewood; his grandchildren, Tristan, Aiden, Gauge, Alexys, Ashlynn, Desyrea and Xavyer; his siblings, Tammy Shade (Aaron), Tracy Van Zuiden of Princeton, IA and Travis Van Zuiden (Amanda) of Colorado Springs, CO; his parents-in-law, Maynard and Sue Carlson; and his pet GiGi.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
