He is survived by: his wife Marie Hoskins of Rock Island, IL; his children, Darren Whitten of Tunica, MS, Dartanian Hoskins, Sr. (Felicia) of Peoria, IL and Christopher Brown (Elizabeth) of Rock Island, IL; and his grandchildren, Dartanian Hoskins Jr. (Sunetris), Dominique Hoskins, Delaney Hoskins, Morgan Whitten, Tehya Boyd, Alannah Collier, Arriyannah Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Bianca Brown, Christopher Brown Jr. and Lauren Dortch-Swift (Kameron). He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
