With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol J. Gibbs of Momence, Illinois, who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Carol leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dawson Shanholtz and Irene Kovach Shanholtz; her husband Harold C. Gibbs; her daughter Vicky Garcia; and her granddaughters, Nicole Garcia and Jacqueline Denton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Martin of Bennett, CO, Julie Gervais of Valparaiso, IN and Tina Velazquez of Momence, IL.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
