He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur P. Sharkey, and Annabelle Senesac Sharkey, Jr.; and his son Nicholas Sharkey. He is survived by: his wife Teressa Sharkey of Momence, IL.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
