With sadness, we share the passing of Robert Liberty of Momence, Illinois. Robert, born on May 21, 1938, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Robert for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Robert’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his mother Jane Strassenburg; and his stepfather Herbert "Strassy" Strassenburg. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Liberty (Brown); his daughters, Jane Raetz (Brian) and Nancy Detmar (Ron); his grandchildren, Ashley Luft (Mitch), Kristyn Ritchert (Craig) and Tyler Brister; and his sisters, Joyce Wilson (Marvin) and MaryAnn Ford (Bob). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Uplifted Care in Bourbonnais, Illinois, in appreciation of the compassionate care provided to Bob and his family. Also considering donating to the Momence Cemetery Association as the cemetery was a passion of Bob.
