He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Kwak and Thecla M. Kaciusis Kwak; and his sister Anita Kwak. He is survived by: his wife Danielle Pender; his children, Jacob Kwak and Alexandra Kwak; his siblings, Joseph A. Kwak (Denise Desjardins), Ontario, Annette (Kevin Fitzpatrick), Christine Kwak (Linda Rodriguez) and Fran Kwak of Seattle, WA.; his siblings' children, Noelle Kramer (Edward), Colin Fitzpatrick, Gerardo Veltri, Brianne Fitzpatrick and Jack Pelzer; and his great-nephew Lucas Pelzer.
