He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Ewing and Ona Ewing (Johnson); his wife Harriet Ewing; and his sisters, Mabel Mealman, Velma Shipp and Linda West.

He is survived by: his children, Carla Ewing of Monmouth, IL, Kelli Ewing of Monmouth, IL, Jeff Ewing (Shanna) of Alexis, IL and Jennifer Ewing of LaHarpe, IL; his grandchildren, Logan Ewing (Vianise) of Monmouth, IL, Rileigh Ewing of Iowa City, IA, Olivia Pflasterer of LaHarpe, IL, Gracey Winters of Alexis, IL, Kenzley Winters of Alexis, IL and Weston Winters of Alexis, IL.; and his great grandchildren, Mason Ewing and Alora Lopez-Ewing. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to the Warren County YMCA or Strom Center and can be sent to the funeral home.
