We announce the death of Cindy S. Lewis of Monmouth, Illinois, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 79. Cindy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Burford and Juanita Patterson; and her sister Rebecca "Becky" Rogers-Nebe. She is survived by: her husband Michael D. Lewis (Mick); her children, Amy Sue Romano (Lewis) and Adam Michael Lewis; her granddaughters, Rachel Elizabeth Santoro (Nick), Hannah Ambriehl Romano and Sophia Claire Romano; her great grandchild Aria Rose Santoro; and her brother Larry Burford of Sherrard. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Way, the Buchanan Center for the Arts or the Children's Library at the Warren County Library in Monmouth and can be sent to the funeral home.
