He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jefferson and Mary DeFord (Jennings); his sons, Richard Lee DeFord and Gregory Allen DeFord; and his siblings, Walter DeFord, Carl DeFord, Clarence DeFord, Robert DeFord, Louise Smith, Beatrice Davis, Virginia Deakon and Shirley Tracy.
He is survived by: his wife Judy DeFord of Monmouth, IL; his son Tony DeFord (Shelly) of Monmouth, IL; his grandchildren, Jason DeFord (Samantha) of Edwards, IL and Airyell Gladfelter (Greg) of Monmouth, IL; his great grandchildren, Ryder, Hudson, Xavier, Claire and Evelyn; and his sister Betty DeFord of Kirkwood, IL..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory (1007 North G Street, Monmouth, IL 61462). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to Western Illinois Animal Rescue (WIAR) and can be sent to the funeral home.
