In the vast expanse of eternity, Dean shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dean farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, C. V. Clarence and Ruth E. Sandstrom (Themanson); and his wife Carolyn J. Swartout. He is survived by: his children, Catherine E. Conry (David), Sandra R. Dasso (Todd) of DeBary, FL, Douglas D. Sandstrom (Sara) of Tampa, FL and Stephen M. Sandstrom (Kimberly) of Monmouth, IL.; and his brother David Sandstrom of Roseville, IL.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made out to the First Lutheran Church of Monmouth or Western Illinois Animal Rescue and can be sent to the funeral home.
