Dorothy L. Walters Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Dorothy L. Walters of Monmouth, Illinois. Dorothy, born on August 8, 1927 in Salem, Iowa, passed away on September 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Watts and Anna Watts (Mosher); her husband Donald Walters; her brother Gordon Watts (Emma Jane); and her daughter Linda Walters Crandall.

She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Abel (Doug) of Santa Ana, William Walters (Tammy) of Cameron and Daniel Walters of Monmouth; and her brothers, Norman Watts (Clara) of Nampa and Neil Watts (Wanda) of Burlington, Iowa. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Silent Home Cemetery or First Christian Church of Monmouth and sent to the funeral home.
