He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Lybarger and Maxine Lybarger (Ross); his son Gary Scott Lybarger; and his siblings, Barbara Brown, Victor Lybarger, Larry Lybarger, John Lybarger and Carol Cook.

He is survived by: his daughter Debra Lybarger (Gary Jones); his daughter-in-law Ann Lybarger of Galesburg; and his siblings, Donnie Lybarger (Robin) of Monmouth, David Lybarger (Rhonda) of Monmouth, Jan Robbins (Gary) of Biggsville, IL and Judy Wall (Lloyd) of Monmouth. He is also survived by 3 grandsons: 5 great-grandchildren.
