He was predeceased by: his parents, A. Lewis Long and Katherin Frances Long (Shimmin); his son James Michael Long (Jim); and his brother Tom Long (Marge). He is survived by: his wife Dee Long; and his brothers, Lynn Long (Dorothy) and Ben Long (Joyce). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the James Lowell Long Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
