We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2022, at the age of 82, James Russell Jr. of Monmouth, Illinois, born in Quitman, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke J. Russell and Flaura Russell (Sumrall); his wife Theresa L. Patterson; his siblings, Dela Russell and Willie Ellis; and his brother-in-law Gabe Randolph.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberleigh Patterson-Nair (Michael Grant, Sr.) of Monmouth, IL and Derek Patterson of Monmouth, IL; his grandchildren, Rendon Patterson, Jordan Salyers and Kealiah Randolph; his siblings, Pinkie Russell-Morgan of Wisconsin, John D. Russell (Helen) of Georgia, Larry Russell (Beverly) of Texas, Demascus Russell (Deanna) of Las Vegas, NV and Dave Russell (Beverly) of Texas; and his sisters-in-law, Connie Patterson of Galesburg, IL, Sharon Patterson of Monmouth, IL and Carole. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
