He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Lapointe and Marie Lapointe (Fontaine); his sister-in-law Wanda Castrey; and his son-in-law Andrew Middleton. He is survived by: his wife Carol (Waters); his siblings, Jean-Claude Lapointe (Elizabeth), Mike Lapointe (Shyma), Diane Gordon (Dave) and Linda Lapointe (Sue); his daughters, Angelle Lapointe and Lynn Middleton; and his stepchildren, Ranae Roberts, Nanette Shepard, Kenyon Shepard (Tracey), Kandi Walker (Bill), Carissa Hanson (Jon), Kathy Good (Gary), JD VanBlaracom and Jay VanBlaracom (Sharon). He is also survived by 40 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Louis Lapointe Memorial Fund.
