It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby P. Steele of Monmouth, Illinois, born in Carman, Illinois, who passed away on April 2, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Earl Waterman and Linda May Waterman (Smith); and her husband Bud H. Steele. She is survived by : her children, Betty Sue Steele of Monmouth and Bud Steele (Star Jones) of Monmouth; and her grandchildren, Darren (Lindsay), Ashley (Wes), Blaid (Kelly), Austin, Codi (Kayla) and Zach. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Turnbull Funeral Homes - Monmouth (301 S Main St, Monmouth, IL 61462). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
