Dolores Watgen Obituary

Dolores (Dee) Watgen left this earth on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the age of 90. Dolores was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was born November 27, 1932, the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Donka) Johnson. Dolores graduated from East Aurora High School. She was employed for the East Aurora School District 131 and went on to work at Copley Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Dolores was a loving and caring person. She was an awesome baker and she loved spending time in the kitchen with her grandchildren teaching them how to bake. She was also an avid Cubs and Bears fan. Dolores loved taking trips and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. George's and Luxemburg.

Dolores is survived by her children, Brian Plant and Denise Hernandez; granddaughter, Tina (Aaron), who was like a daughter to her; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicole, Michael, Adriana, Katie, Christina, Alyssa, Aaron Jr., and Heather and many great grandchildren, her sister, Carol (Kevin) Skraboly, her sister-in-law, Sandy (Jack) Johnson and any nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Jerald Watgen in 2023; her son, Daren Plant, her baby brother, Jack Johnson and many others.

Family will be receiving guests on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave. Montgomery, IL 60538. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Aurora, IL. Memorials may be made to the Children's Cancer Society or your choosing.
