We announce the death of Scott Rentz of Montgomery, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 61. He was predeceased by: his father David Rentz; and his pets, Jack, Coco and Midnight. He is survived by: his mother Judy Reynolds; his wife Sheryl Rentz; his sons, Garrett Rentz (Randi) and Tyler Rentz; his brother Craig Rentz (Karen); his nephew Blake Rentz; his niece Hailey Rentz; his parents-in-law, Jerry Niewold and Carole Niewold; and his sister-in-law Laura Abbruzzese.

A wake will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dieterle Memorial (1120 S Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.

“He was a strong advocate for the print centers and was always making sure we were okay. Whenever we had a machine go down, Scott would text or call to let us know he received the call and that he would be there to take care of the machine. If he couldn’t make it right away, he would always give us a time and day when he could be there. That kind of dedication and communication meant a lot to us.”
