Dixie A. Moody Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dixie A. Moody (Monticello, Illinois), born in Belle Plaine, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 11, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean Eggert and Evelyn Eggert (Thompson); her parents-in-law, Emily and Lewis Moody; her siblings-in-law, Gayle Moody, John Wade and Bill Cook; and her nephew Jeff Wade.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Moody; her sons, David Moody (Megan) of Downers Grove, Eric Moody of Champaign, Alex Moody (Adriane) of Decatur and John Moody of Monticello, Illinois; her grandchildren, Joshua, Anneliese, Lena, Greta and Max; her sisters, Deanna Cook of Marengo, Iowa. and Crystal Benscoter (Stratton) of Marengo, Iowa.; and her nieces, Johnnette Kruse (Bill Collins), Audra VanBennekom (Doug) and Sara Benscoter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (738 W Bridge St, Monticello, IL 61856). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Southern Baptist Convention (Mission Dignity) or an organization of the donor's choice.
