Esther leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Esther’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Esther will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ester R. Weaver and Zella Chumbley Weaver; her husband Clinton E. Smith; and her great grandchild Payton Combs. She is survived by: her stepsister Doris Presser of Sparks, Nevada; her son Timothy R. Smith; her daughter-in-law Kathryn A. Smith of Ogden, Illinois; her granddaughters, Danielle M. Combs of Paxton and Kimberly E. Smith of Wasilla, Alaska; and her great grandchildren, Seth Forbes, Brianna Combs and Savannah Curtis.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home (215 E Washington St, Monticello, IL 61856). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
