He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marion and Ethel Alma Riley (Sweazy); his wife Mary; his daughter Linda Roberts; his siblings, Ralph Riley (Hazel), Jack Riley (Marilyn), Don Riley, Evelyn Riley, Virginia Sanders (Clarence), Fern Riley, Wilma Sanders (Homer), Elva Cragg (Robert) and Rosalie Sattley (Richard); and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mawyer (Eugene) and Nora Ellen Miller.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Linda Kay, Dennis Ray, John David and Scott Edward; his children, Elizabeth Fairchild (Jeffrey), Dennis Riley (Angie), John Riley (Xin) and Scott Riley (Dawn); his grandchildren, Matthew Fairchild, Susan Oliver, Mary Stanton and Brianna Roberts; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Ella, Katelyn Fairchild, Nathaniel Oliver, Josiah, Paige, Evelyn, Sam Stanton, Dominic, Carly Beebe and Will Vicary; and his siblings-in-law, Wilma Riley, Aileen Miller and Ray Miller.
Memorials may be made to the Monticello United Methodist Church Food Pantry and Assistance Fund or the Piatt County Nursing Home.
