The family announces the passing of Madelyn Mofield of Monticello, Illinois on October 9, 2026. Madelyn, born on June 24, 1932, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Breedlove (Rusty) and Flo Breedlove; her husband Owen "Joe" Mofield; and her siblings, Patricia Doyle, Naomi Maxwell and William Breedlove.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Welemin of Savage, MN, Bill Mofield (Carla) of Lexington, MO and Patty Jones (Bob) of Catlin, IL; her niece Jo Anne Spanglehour (Jack) of Fort Cobb, OK; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Hales, Bill Mofield, Heather Vandermeulen (Brad), Bryon Jones (Christa), Michael Welemin (Cassidi), Sarah Millis (Eric) and Anna Brynteson (Ryan). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren: and 10 nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Monticello Township Cemetery (601 W Railroad St, Monticello, IL 61856).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Madelyn's honor to the Piatt County Food Pantry, or to the Activity Fund at Autumn Fields Assisted Living Facility in Danville, IL.
