Nina Grubaugh Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nina Grubaugh of Monticello, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Nina had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Nina may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Grubaugh and Bertha "Peggy" Grubaugh (Cutright); and her brother Wiley Grubaugh. She is survived by: her sibling's children, Anouk Grubaugh and Andre Grubaugh (Qi Wang); her great-nephew Lars Grubaugh; and her sister-in-law Gladys Grubaugh.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3955 Lourdes Dr, Decatur, IL 62526). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Post Oak Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Decatur Humane Society or the donor's choice.
