He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Starks and Nora Starks (Corder); his siblings, Wilma (Carl Glenn), Wanda (John Edmunds), Donald (Louise Starks), Raymond (Phyllis Starks), Robert (Mabel Starks), Russell (Marie Starks) and John (Charlene Starks); and his son-in-law Paul Eklund.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Julie Starks and Linda Smith; his grandchildren, Kerry McLaughlin and Shawn (Heather Smith); his great grandchildren, Trevor McLaughlin, Olivia McLaughlin, Ethan Smith, Colton Smith and Madison Smith; Vicki Tomer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
