He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Peterson and Arlene Peterson (Ecker); his parents-in-law, Clarence and Lorna Paulsen; his sister-in-law Becky Peterson; and his nephew Aaron Hootman.
He is survived by: his wife Lori; his son James Peterson (Dana) of Roanoke, VA; his stepdaughters, Elise Doss (Jacob) of Morris, IL and Tracy Serna of Kewanee, IL; and his siblings, Gregory Peterson of Minooka, Bruce Peterson of Joliet and Barbara Fonck (David) of Marseilles. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren. 4 great-grandchildren.
