Gael Patrick Rooney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gael Patrick Rooney of Morris, Illinois, who passed away on August 19, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Eugene and Mona M. Rooney (Horan); his wife Diane Chouinard; and his sister Sheila Funk. He is survived by: his brother Dr. George Rooney (Carol) of Brookfield, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Gene Funk of Morris, Pete Dummitt of Morris, Sue Benson of Shorewood, Cherie Prosser (Doug) of Shorewood, Richard "Buz" Chouinard and Leslie Ambrose. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as cousins.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Pat's memory to the Grundy County Historical Society.
