He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich Gruber and Margaret Gruber; and his siblings, Walter Gruber and Lydia Hubner. He is survived by: his wife Roselyne Bromeland; his children, Karen McKanna (Rodney), Henry Gruber (Angela), Christine DiGuido (Jack) and Belinda Kurtz (late Keith Millard); and his grandchildren, David McKanna, Kathryn Hendrickson (Ryan), William Gruber, Nicole Washak (Tom), Elyse Southcombe (Bryce), Matthew Kurtz, Lydia Kurtz and Emma Kurtz. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
