He is survived by: his children, James Palmer, Jr. (Nancy), Deborah Palmer Button and William Palmer (Amy); his grandchildren, Michelle Matthews (Dave), Renee Palmer, Alexandra Bass (Tim), Tyler Button (Lindsey), Zachary Palmer and Noah Palmer; and his siblings, Jerry Palmer (Mary Ellen) and Linda Benda-Middlesworth.
Memorials can be made in Phil's name to Lightways Hospice in Joliet.
