She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Sr. Carroll and Velva Bradley Carroll; her brother Owen "J. R." Carroll; and her parents-in-law, Robert E. Brooks I and Millie E. Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Robert E. Brooks III (Anne) of Plainfield and Sherry Anne Burns (Dennis) of Plainfield, Illinois.; her grandchildren, Stephanie Anne Burns, Brennan Stryker Burns and Jennifer Janice Brooks; her husband Robert E. Brooks II; her sister Nancy Morrison of Waxhaw; her brother-in-law Mark D. Brooks (Darlene Sarbacher) of Clarkston, Washington.; and her close friend Linda Ballard Shannon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, many cousins.
