He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Alling and Katherine Alling; and his sister Bonnie White. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Alling; his children, Dean Johnson (Judy) of Coal City, IL, Michelle Laird (Tracy) of Channahon and Brian Alling (Michelle) of Joliet; his grandchildren, Jake Johnson (Shannon), Ryan Johnson (Bethany), Hope Ferguson (Drew), Jen Vilutis (Luke), Mason Laird (Natalie Lindsay), Max Laird, Jacquelyn Keeton and Addison Keeton; and his great grandchildren, Brantley, Nora and Aloy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial gifts to assist with the continued care of his beloved bride, Lynda Alling, whom he cherished deeply.
